Cloud Native Engineer

Personal Profile

Cloud Native Engineer with 15+ years of experience across SAP ERP, test management, and platform-related environments. In recent years, my focus has shifted towards cloud-native architectures, developer experience, automation, and AI-assisted engineering.

As an AWS Solutions Architect Professional, I enjoy building practical, reliable systems and improving how teams deliver software. I value clear design, fast feedback loops, and automation that reduces friction and increases engineering effectiveness. I learn quickly, adapt well to complex environments, and bring ownership, clear communication, and a pragmatic mindset to the work. I am an outgoing person with a good sense of humor, but only after the third coffee of the morning.

Work Experience

Cloud Native Engineer at BSH

Nov 2022 - Present

As a Cloud Engineer within a multinational, distributed team, I have significantly contributed to developer-centric infrastructure platforms using cloud-native technologies and IaC.

  • Used ADK to build a workflow-style support agent for the self-service portal used to provision and manage corporate AWS accounts. The agent catalogs problematic issues, applies a support runbook, and uses tools to de-escalate and resolve cases, reducing support effort by approximately 10–15 hours per month.
  • Used ADK to build a PoC chat agent that helps product development engineers accelerate the sample inspection report process for supplier part homologation. The initiative is currently progressing toward an MVP.
  • Designed and implemented an advanced AWS landing zone product using Control Tower, reducing account provisioning time from ~1 day to 2–3 hours. Infrastructure readiness is reached in ~20 minutes; remaining delay is external (identity systems).
  • Simplified and flattened the UX of account and role provisioning processes, improving self-service adoption across teams.
  • Defined the unit and integration testing strategy and led the team to raise test coverage from ~5% to 90%, ensuring robust automation and faster feedback.
  • Refactored and stabilized a critical automation platform, reducing integration test runtime from >30 min to <5 min and unit test to <1 min.
  • Active member of the AI Community of Practice, contributing to the evaluation and standardization of AI-assisted engineering tools and producing specs-oriented programming guidelines for development teams.
  • Created an AWS Glue PoC that helped the integration team reduce massive file processing time from 2 hours to 3 minutes.
  • Migrated CI/CD pipelines from Bamboo to GitHub Actions, increasing reliability through check-in/check-out logic.
  • Contributed to deploying Kubermatic Kubernetes Platform for self-service cluster provisioning at scale.

IT Service Delivery Manager at BSH

Jan 2011 - Nov 2022

As Service Delivery Manager I led a 25+ team that provided test management support and delivered CBTA test automation for SAP core business applications worldwide. I managed our SAP Test Management product, bringing new ideas to provide a better experience to our users. I made my team improve every day, always having our OKR in mind. Occasionally I led projects.

SAP MM-PP Consultant at IBM

Sept 2008 - Jan 2011

I was a key player in several SAP successful implementation projects. In this role, I implemented customizing for the MM, PP and QM modules according to the BBP. I designed functional specifications for custom requirements, especially a complex OEE report fully integrated with production ERP notifications. I designed and conducted the training of the users and supported multiple go-lives resulting in highly satisfied customers.

SAP MM-QM Consultant at INSA (ViewNext)

May 2007 - Sept 2008

I took on the challenge of implementing SAP MM and QM modules in a full migration project. I implemented part of the customization, I designed and conducted the training of users and I supported on-site resulting in a successful go-live.

AI & Engineering Philosophy

I advocate for specs-oriented AI programming: defining clear specifications and acceptance criteria upfront, then leveraging AI agents to accelerate implementation, testing, and iteration. This approach combines human architectural judgment with agentic execution to deliver reliable, well-tested software faster. I also explore multi-agent orchestration patterns to understand how autonomous coding agents can collaborate effectively on complex engineering tasks.

Interests and Hobbies

I love diving and I strive to improve with every dive. I have been skiing in the mountains near my hometown since I was three years old. I box almost every day and I give my best in every round: I either win or learn. I enjoy story-driven video games, sci-fi books, and I occasionally write.
